Problem: While attempting Enterprise Activation, the blackberry activation progress cannot get passed Verifying Encryption.  The message is:


Activation Progress - 14%

Activating...
Verifying Encryption...

"An Error has occurred.  Please contact System Administrator."

Solution:  The workaround and easy fix is to do the Desktop Manager activation.  For those remote without a computer, then Enterprise Activation might be the only way.  The following steps should be completed by system administrators with access to the Blackberry Enterprise Server.

Open Blackberry Manager
(1) Search and locate individual's account. Right click and select Edit Properties.
(2) On the left column under Properties, select PIM Sync
(3) On the right column, scroll down to the section Certificate Summary Data
(4) For Synchronization type, instead of Device to Server click the drop down and select Bidirectional.  
(5) Hit OK and try again.
