Sharepoint Crashes Internet Explorer

Problem: Attempting to navigate to Sharepoint site, but Internet Explorer crashes. This may also happen when attempting to open an Office file.

Solution: Try the following steps.
(1) In Windows Explorer, navigate to c:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office 12
(2) Delete owssup.dll (or just rename for backup purposes)
(3) Run the Office diagnostics by selecting Start > All Programs > Microsoft Office > Microsoft Tools > Diagnostics. This tool will repair any missing or corrupt files.
